Our Centre
WEST Centre Winkler provides Essential Skills training solutions and evaluation services leading to learning plans, training and human resource solutions or direct referrals to appropriate external agencies. WEST Centre Winkler is a Workplace Education Manitoba initiative.
Our centre is located at 725 Main Street in Winkler, and at company and union sites as negotiated.
Our Drop-In Hours
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 6:30.
The WEST Centre Winkler is located in the new Regional Connections annex at 725 Main Street in Winkler (the former Courtesy Motors dealership). We offer drop-in hours at our centre on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. If you have an education, training or career goal in mind, drop in and talk to an instructor about your Essential Skills needs.
Our Training Centre
Our ES training solutions offered include:
- Apprenticeship pre-college and Trades qualification ES training
- ES training (pre-employment) for recruitment initiatives
- Existing workforce training
- Immigrants - ES training - largely existing workforces, but also includes pre-employment. Please note: our learners require CLB 6.
- Aboriginal - Igniting the Power Within ES and PLAR and related training projects
