WEST Centre Winnipeg provides Essential Skills training and assessment services that lead to learning plans, training and human resource solutions, or direct referrals to select external agencies.
Essential Skills training is offered at our Centre located at 1000 Waverley in Winnipeg, at satellite locations, and also at company and union sites as negotiated.
Our Training Solutions
Our ES training solutions include:
- ES training (pre-employment) for recruitment initiatives
- Existing workforce training
- Apprenticeship pre-college and Trades qualification ES training and assessment
- Immigrants - ES training – largely pre-employment but also includes existing workforce
- Aboriginal – Igniting the Power Within ES and PLAR and related training projects
Our Assessment Services
Our assessment division uses a variety of assessment strategies to identify an individual’s Essential Skill levels. Gap identification yields learning plans, and we facilitate referrals to external agencies when appropriate.
